...is a new band playing compositions by Gareth Roberts (trombone) and Dave Jones (piano). They’re joined by Ashley John Long (bass) and Ryan Thrupp (drums).

The Dave Jones Quintet plays new arrangements of tunes composed by the great American alto saxophonist Kenny Garrett, with a line-up featuring Andy Hague (trumpet/flugelhorn) and Ben Waghorn (tenor sax).

“An incredible show by any standards, delivered by a group of 70 year-olds (bar Nic Collins and the backing vocalists), one of whom has very serious health issues – it seems like an excellent example of what people of a certain age can achieve, both physically and mentally.”
