Dave said at the age of 5 that he wanted to play “mad” piano when he grew up. So what was this “mad” piano? Well, at home at that time he’d have been hearing an eclectic mix of jazz, big band, classical, Motown, and glam rock, so maybe it was an imagined mix of all of those things.

Add to that an extensive musical training with specialisms in performance, composition, and jazz, and it’s perhaps no surprise that Dave has become an acclaimed pianist and composer in both jazz and media music.

Dave’s jazz releases include the recent 5-star reviewed Quartet EP ‘Answers on a Postcard’ (2019), and ‘Journeys’ (2010) which was the London Evening Standard’s jazz CD of the week. His distinctive compositions have also found their way into TV and radio productions worldwide.
